Season one is a short overview of each of the sixty-six books of the Bible. Season two launched our expositional journey through the whole Bible beginning with the book of Genesis. Thereafter each season take a New Testament/Old Testament alternatively until the project is complete. Today, we’re asking one of the hardest and most human questions anyone can ever ask:
Why did the Lord allow this to happen?
Now, let’s be honest — we’ve all asked that question at some point.
The truth is, there’s rarely just one answer.
Scripture gives us many different reasons why the Lord allows hardship, difficulty, or even disaster. But today, I want us to focus on just one particular possibility that’s revealed in 1 Samuel chapter 4.
It’s not the only explanation, and perhaps not even the most common one, but it’s an important one — and it’s something we all need to face….
